Where Journalism Meets Film

Oriana Ledesma is widely acclaimed for her award-winning coverage of the Iraq war, which has been published in the Dallas Morning News, United Press International, and Blade magazine. She starred alongside Jason Ritter in National Geographic's mini-series "The Long Road Home," based on the 2007 book by Martha Raddatz. Additionally, she produced "Conte: Transitioning Politics," an intimate short documentary film about Joanne Conte, the first transgender person elected to a city council in U.S. history.

Oriana Ledesma is a first-generation Filipino-American combat veteran who attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She focused on the interdisciplinary studies of the United States and its global impact, as well as print and broadcast journalism at the Annenberg School of Communication.
